Malkangiri District Council Reviews Development Projects, Stresses Quality and Cleanliness

Malkangiri, September 8, 2026:An important review meeting on the progress of various development schemes in Malkangiri district was held today at the District Council Conference Hall.
The meeting was chaired by District Collector and District Council Chief Executive Officer Pratesh Arvind Rajesh. Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharthi Sarabu, Block Development Officers (BDOs) of all seven blocks, and other departmental officials and employees of the District Council attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on a block-wise basis regarding the progress of rural infrastructure, drinking water supply, road construction, education and health-related projects being implemented under the District Council.
The District Collector directed all BDOs and field-level officials to work diligently to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary, particularly those in the most remote villages. He stressed that no eligible person should be left out of the government’s welfare programmes.
The CDO emphasized the timely completion of ongoing projects while maintaining proper standards of quality, cleanliness and workmanship. Officials were also instructed to closely monitor the implementation of development works at the field level.
To make the development process more effective and innovative, the Collector suggested that BDOs should present the best and most innovative projects implemented in their respective blocks at the next review meeting.
