Malkangiri Collector Reviews Monthly Revenue and PMG Progress
Directs Officials to Expedite Development Projects and Ensure Timely Completion

MALKANGIRI, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026:A high-level Monthly Revenue and PMG Progress Review Meeting was held at the Malkangiri District Council Conference Hall under the chairmanship of District Collector Pratesh Arvind Rajeshirke, with a focus on accelerating development projects and strengthening revenue collection across the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector (Revenue) Vedavar Pradhan, Forest Officer Sai Kiran, Deputy Collector Duryodhan Bhoi and other senior administrative and departmental officials.
The meeting reviewed in detail the progress of various ongoing development projects relating to infrastructure, transportation, drinking water, rural development and other priority sectors.
The status of different projects and the issues affecting their timely implementation were also discussed.
The Collector also reviewed the district’s revenue collection position, including land revenue, mineral revenue and other government revenues. Officials were directed to take prompt steps to achieve the prescribed targets and collect outstanding revenue without delay.
A joint review was also conducted with Forest Department officials regarding issues connected with forest land clearance and environmental concerns, particularly those affecting major Central and State Government projects. Officials discussed measures to resolve such bottlenecks and facilitate the timely implementation of important development works.
The District Collector directed engineers and departmental heads to complete ongoing projects within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining proper quality standards. He stressed that timely execution of development projects and effective revenue mobilisation are crucial for the overall progress of the district.
The Collector further instructed all officials to discharge their responsibilities with greater accountability so that the benefits of government schemes and development programmes reach the people without unnecessary delay.
He warned that failure to complete projects within the prescribed timeframe would invite appropriate action against the concerned department or officials.
At the conclusion of the meeting, heads of various departments presented the latest progress reports of their respective projects and programmes. Discussions were also held on measures to remove implementation bottlenecks and further accelerate the pace of development activities across Malkangiri district.
