Makar Mela at Sita Mountain in Gajapati,District

Paralakhemundi-At Gajapati district of Garabandha in the mountain named ‘Sita Pahada’ every year during Makar Sankranti festival held. Crowd from both Odisha & border Andhrapradesh use to visit to see the large stone,which is above 400 feet of sea level.The breadth of the mountain is 200 feet.
As on epic memory Rama,Sita & Hanuman taken rest in this mountain.Incidentally there is a well above 400 feet heights of mountain, which attracts the devotees to sip the pious water which has taste of tender coconut.
Law & order maintained by police to keep all discipline & sanctity. Committee President Prafulla Patra personally with his team left no leaves for all arrangements.
