Sunabeda: 02/11/2021: The aeronautical society of India in association with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Air Force liaison Establishment organised the International Seminar 2021  at TTS Auditorium of HAL, Sunabeda.. The purpose of the seminar was to bring design, researcher, certification customers and maintenance agencies in one platform. The program was Inaugurated by eminent personalities from the country like APVS Prasad, Chief Executive CEMILAC (Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification), DRDO, Chief Executive Officer MiG Complex HAL and Air Vice Marshal Samir Borade Visist Seva Medal, Dy SO MC CO, Indian Airforce. The welcome address was given by N C Satapathy, Secretary Aeronautical Society of Sunabeda Branch, where as the roles and responsibilities of Aeronautical Society of India , Sunabeda branch were elaborated by  Jitendra Mohan Sahu, Chairman Aeronautical Society of India Sunabeda Branch and Executive Director- HAL Koraput. AVM Samir Borade VSM focused on the various life extension activities carried by IAF , whereas CEO MiG complex  Dibyendu Maity emphasised the role of HAL as a repair agency and how HAL can contribute in life extension of ageing fleets. Chief executive Cemilac focused the DRDO perspective.

 In the technical session of the Seminar 5 specialists from diversified areas focused on the theme of the seminar “Emerging trends in Aero engine MRO and life extension technologies.”  The speakers for the technical sessions were Retired Director DMRL, Hyderabad, Dr Vikash Kumar , scientist H and outstanding scientist,L N Raghavendra , Group Director Propulsion,DRDO, Ashok Kumar Handuja, Danish Koul from Life Prediction Technologies India and  Chinmay Beura, Chief Manager- Design HAL Koraput. Dr Benudhar Sahoo, Regional Director RCMA  summarized  the whole technical session.  The inaugural session was conducted by Smita Pattnaik whereas technical sessions were conducted by  Tusara Kanta Nath. ED Koraput Pramod Kumar and General Manager Engine Division Koraput  R P Chakraborty chaired the technical sessions. Vote of thanks was given by Alok Pramanik ( DGM – Customer Service, HAL Koraput). Delegates from  Indian Air Force, Indian Navy along with regulating agency staffs like RCMA, DGAQA,AFLE as well as HAL officials participated in this programme .
