HAL takes responsibility to beautify and rejuvenate Jagannath Sagar lake
Shaik Ibrahim, Odishabarta, Sunabeda (24-02-2024) : Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is to spend more Rs 6 crore for the beautification and rejuvenation of the historic Jagannath Sagar in Jeypore of Koraput district.A memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in this regard was signed between HAL, Koraput Division and Jeyporee Municipality on Friday.
As per the MoA, HAL will provide more Rs 6 crore in second phase from its CSR funds for the purpose. It had already spent Rs 1 crore in the first phase and will spend Rs 6 crore in the next two years. A special programme has been organised in the conference hall of HAL Administrative Building, Sunabeda. On behalf of HAL, General Manager (Engine) Division Shishir Kumar Patra and on behalf of Jeypore Municipality Executive Officer Siddharth Patnaik signed the MoA in presence of Chairman of Jeypore Municipality Narendra Mohanty, Vice Chairperson B.Sunita , Project Director, District Urban Development Agency, Devi Prasad Tali, General Manager of HAL, Koraput Division Sudhansu Mohan Jena,General Manager, Sukhei Engine Division, R M K Choudhury, Executive Officer of Sunabeda Municipality Narayan Nayak and other senior officials of HAL CSR committee and Jeypore Municipality. Senior Manager of HAL Smita Mahapatra coordinated the event.
