FAMOUS MAA HINGULA YATRA AND 22ND LOKA MAHOTSAV BEGINS WITH KEENNESS

Talcher,The fire deity Maa Hingula yatra and 22nd loka mahotsav starts and it will continue till 8th of April 2026. This year, Maa Hingula emerged in the eastern direction of the temple.

 The district administration and the Hingula Trust Board have made extensive preparations for the famous Yatra and 22nd Lok Mahotsav of Goddess Maa Hingula, the unspoiled nature of Talcher begins at the Maa Peetha in Gopal Prasad under Talcher Sub Division.

As about 4 lakh devotees are likely to gather in the Yatra this year, elaborate arrangements have been made by the temple trust board and the administration.

Various steps have been taken to regulate the crowd of devotees at this auspicious time of Hingula Yatra till 8th of April. Barricades have been set up near the temple and the shrine for the darshan of the mother in an orderly manner. Instructions have been given to keep the shrine clean and free from polythene. 16 subcommittees have been formed for the smooth management of the yatra. The administration has set up special trauma treatment centres.

CCTV cameras have been installed at various places around the temple and the yatra site to keep an eye on the criminals. The police forces have been deployed under the supervision of Angul S.P. Rahul Jain and led by Talcher SDPO. Bharat Chandra Sahu. Administration has made extensive arrangements for peace and order.

 One-way traffic arrangements have been made at various intersections to avoid accidents. Information centers, stalls, mics in the surrounding areas and coolers, fans have been arranged at various places including Pallishri Mela and Mina bazar. Preparations of special tents for various food vendors including the arrangements have been made by various organizations to distribute free watermelons, ice cream, curd, and anna prasad to the devotees along the roads connecting Talcher, Angul, Kaniha, and Chendipada areas.
