Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj  Presented the State Government’s Developmental Schemes and Achievements of  two Years in a Press Conference at Jajpur

JAJPUR : The government is giving importance to placing the rich heritage of Jajpur on the global map. Jajpur has immense potential for the tourism industry.

The government has been making efforts to include the district’s Buddhist heritage sites in the UNESCO World Heritage list, said Minister for Higher Education, Sports and Youth Services, Odia Language, Literature and Culture, Suryabanshi Suraj, during a press conference held in Jajpur.

The press conference titled “Bikashara Dhara, Odisha Sara” was organized at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall.

Along with Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Badachana MLA Amar Nayak, Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo, Collector Ambar Kumar Kar, and Additional District Magistrate Yudhisthira Nayak were present.

On the occasion of the completion of 12 years of the Central Government and two years of the State Government, Minister Suraj elaborately presented details of various developmental schemes and achievements accomplished during the last two years. He also highlighted significant initiatives and projects undertaken at both the state and district levels in areas such as economic growth, education, healthcare, heritage conservation, and infrastructure development.

The Minister stated that Odisha’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth rate and per capita income have increased significantly and are higher than the national average. He emphasized the need to develop heritage alongside industrial growth and modern infrastructure.

Referring to the Science Academy project, the Minister informed that only about 10 percent of the work remains pending and that it will be completed soon. He also spoke about the importance of establishing a Kalagram in Jajpur district in the future.

Minister Suryabanshi Suraj further interacted with media representatives on various aspects of the district’s overall development.

On this occasion, the monthly magazine “Pragati Pravaha”, published by the Information and Public Relations Department, along with informational booklets on government schemes, was distributed among journalists.

The event highlighted the State Government’s continuous efforts and commitment towards achieving the vision of a prosperous and developed Odisha by 2036 under the slogan “Bikashara Dhara, Odisha Sara”, as well as its dedication to the comprehensive development of Jajpur district.

District Information and Public Relations Officer Kamini Ranjan Pattnaik and Additional Executive Officer Lambodar Khuntia coordinated the programme.

The conference was attended by departmental officers, social workers Debayani Pradhan, Gautam Ray, Babita Mallik, Umesh Jena, and representatives from various media organizations.

At the conclusion of the programme, Collector Ambar Kumar Kar delivered the vote .
