DY. DIRECTOR OF FACTORIES REVIEWS SAFETY PERFORMANCE AT NTPC TALCHER THERMAL

Talcher:An interaction meeting with the Deputy Director of Factories, Angul, was held at NTPC Talcher Thermal on 17 June 2026 with the participation of the safety fraternity of NTPC TTPP, BHEL TTPP and safety officers of deployed sub-agencies to review the status of occupational safety, health and statutory compliance at the project.

The meeting focused on strengthening workplace safety measures, ensuring compliance with applicable Factory Rules and Regulations and promoting a proactive safety culture through the adoption of best practices.

Discussions also covered safety performance review, hazard identification and risk mitigation measures, employee safety awareness and training programmes, emergency preparedness and response arrangements, and opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices.

During the interaction, the Deputy Director of Factories held individual discussions with safety personnel and emphasised the importance of strict statutory compliance, regular safety inspections, risk assessment and effective implementation of safety management systems. The Safety Department presented updates on ongoing safety initiatives, training programmes, accident prevention measures and compliance status.

Recognising exemplary commitment towards workplace safety, the Deputy Director of Factories felicitated safety-conscious officers for their dedicated efforts and valuable contributions.

Appreciating the safety initiatives undertaken at the project, the Deputy Director advised maintaining continuous vigilance, strengthening safety audits and ensuring active participation of employees in safety related activities, with a collective commitment from all stakeholders towards achieving Zero Accident and establishing NTPC Talcher Thermal as a benchmark for safety excellence in the industry.
