District-Level Smart Hackathon 3.0 Held in Gajapati

Paralakhemundi, August 14, 2026: The District-Level Smart Hackathon 3.0 and Science Exhibition was held at Mahendragiri (MPL) Government High School in Gajapati district with enthusiastic participation from young innovators.
The programme was presided over by District Education Officer Dr. Mayadhar Sahu, while ADM, Gajapati, Phalguni Majhi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Headmaster of the host school, Purnachandra Pradhan, was also present on the dais.
Addressing the students, the speakers encouraged the young participants to pursue their goals and showcase innovative ideas capable of contributing to society. They emphasized that challenges, sprints and pitches help develop problem-solving skills, creative thinking and innovative approaches, which can play an important role in shaping successful careers.
A total of 19 projects were displayed by students from different parts of Gajapati district. Among them, Shradhanjali Panda and Sukumari Karjee of Kaithapadar Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya secured the first and second positions, respectively, while Christina Gamango of Serango Higher Secondary School secured the third position.
The first, second and third prize winners received cash awards of Rs. 20,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000, respectively.
The winners will represent Gajapati district at the state-level competition, where they will get an opportunity to showcase their innovative projects and ideas.
