BJP, PANPOSH MET ADM & SUB-COLLECTOR WITH COMPLAINT OF CHEATING IN WEIGHT BY FCI

ROURKELA: A team of high level leaders of BJP, Panposh met ADM and Sub-Collector, Rourkela regarding cheating in weight while distributing the stock to Civil Supply representatives for villages under Panchayats. Recently one representative of Civil Supply of Jarikela was beaten badly because he has brought the weight differences while distributing the food grain by F.C.I officials. A massive corruption is going on there in distribution of food grains. There is a standard guidelines laid down when you are distributing grain under PDS, you need to take sample weight of at least 10% to confirm the weight it contains because during transit grains contracts because you lose moistures a little bit and then taking into consideration of average weight of these bags weighted, be applicable to rest of the bags to be distributed but none is following the procedure. Hence, the person who is taking these grain bags find shortage of grains and needs to give the right weight to its consumer, causes a huge loss and a huge profit to the people involved in corruption. There is a strong chain available who are doing this corruptions and they are also very fierce to silent the voice raised through physical means. It’s against the law of land and senior officers should look at this supply system and punish who are guilty. Taking this complaint forward, BJP and its leadership have met ADM and Sub-Collector, Rourekela and alarmed the concern. Both these officers have assured the BJP team to take appropriate investigation into this matter. The team who met the officers were Shankar Oram, MLA, Birmitrapur, Latika Pattnayak, President, BJP, Panposh, Ex- Municipality Chairman, Nihar Ray, Ex BJP President, BJP,Panposh Jagabandhu Behera and Bhagaban Rout, the official spokes person of BJP.
