Baidyanathpur Police Busted IPL betting racket in Berhampur

Berhampur:Based on recent reports from late April and early May 2026, Berhampur Baidyanathpu Police have intensified crackdowns on illegal IPL betting rackets, resulting in multiple arrests and significant seizure.
Baidyanathpur Police in challenging mood following IPL success of Bada Bazar Police and Berhampur Town Police came in action mode while Gosaninuagaon police lacking the IPL hub centre point of the city if the past historyrefered.
The team of Baidyanathpur Police arrested 21-year-old Subham Pradhan from near Khodasingh overbridge, seizing over Rs 20 lakh in connection with an IPL betting racket.
The accused was operating via the website ag.noor333.com, with an estimated 70 people involved under his account.(!).
On dt.08.03.2026 SI P.Sahoo and PS staff while performing evening patrolling Basing on the reliable information regarding an organized crime in the form of illegal online cricket betting racket on the IPL T20 Cricket match is being allegedly run in Berhampur Town by one Subham Pradhan and others.
Subham Pradhan runs his organized online gambling on his mobile and some others are gathered near Khodasing Over Bridge.
Basing on this information under intimation of IIC, B.N.Pur PS he along with staff immediately rushed to the spot and apprehended Subham Pradhan.
During personal search of Subham Pradhan in presence of witness SI P. Sahoo found two number of mobile phone.
On verification of the mobile it is found that Subham Pradhan indulged in playing of IPL T20 cricket betting racket online by organizing an illegal criminal syndicate & betting racket. Upon verification of the mobile phone handset of Subham Pradhan in presence of witnesses, it is ascertained that he used to play betting online on on NOOR 333 websites vide ag.noor333.com having ID No.mmotu99.
It is ascertained that Subham Pradhan is the prime accused of this case who has conspired and taken the Distributorship from one Ashim Kumar Biswas of Koraput having Mob:7008651634 since last 3 month to play betting online in the aforementioned websites. That Ashim Ku. Biswas has given the Distributer panel and has created user ID and Password for Subham Pradhan on those websites. Subham Pradhan has then created a numbers of Sellers/ Retailers around 70 members , assigned them with various user IDs and Passwords in those websites with a view to facilitate and organize betting online and thereby amassed a huge amount of money.
It is also learnt that the Sellers/Retailers created by Subham Pradhan has lured the general public (customers) to bet money in online IPL T20 Cricket betting and get the profit amounts. However, the said Subham Mohapatra has cheated a huge amount of money from the general gullible public with the false promise of high returns to the public and the said illegal act of the accused has adversely affected the socio-economic status of Odisha State.

24 Screen shots were seized and Online Gaming amount of Rs.7,37,038/- from his account and Rs.12,86,350/- of 70 members playing under his account.
The account holder is linked to online gaming website ag.noor333.com, transactions totalling Rs.20,23,388: this includes Rs.7,37,038 of personal funds and Rs.12,86,350 attributed to 70
