ENGINEER POSSENING DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS AGAINST HIS KNOWN SOURCES,SP, VIGILANCE, BERHAMPUR.

BERHAMPUR:Vigilance sleuths Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at five places associated with a Deputy Executive Engineer of Rayagada Road and Building (R&B) Division-2.
The officials raided the senior engineer of the State Works Department, Udhab Padhi, posted at Gunupur on the charges of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) against his known sources of income.
Raids were conducted at a triple-storied residential building of Padhi at Kamapalli in Berhampur city, his business unit at Dharakote, office and official residence at Gunupur and his flat in Puri town.The raids were conducted following a search warrant issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
According to SP,Anil Patro,SP,Vigilance,on the strength of search warrant issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur in Misc. Case No.08/2020 (V), (i) Residential triple storied building of Udhab Padhi, S/o Late Raghunath Padhi,Deputy Executive Engineer, R & B Sub-Division, Gunupur under(R&B) Division No.II, Rayagada situated at R.C. Das Lane, Kamapalli, Berhmapur stands in the name of wife Smt. Madhumanjari Padhi, (ii) Office Chamber in the office of Asst-Executive Engineer,(R&B),Sub-Division, Gunupur,(iii) residential Govt. Quarter situated at Gunupur and (iv)Stone Crusher factory stands in the name of Kanhu Charan Padhi, S/oUdhab Padhi situated at village Durgamadhabpur under Dharakote Block, in Ganjam were searched simultaneously today i.e. on 24.12.2020 to trace the movable/ immovable assets possessed by Sri Padhi and his family members.
During Search the following immovable / movable assets are found in possession of Udhab Padhi, Deputy Executive Engineer, R & B Sub-Division, Gunupur under R & B Division No.II, Rayagada, and his family members.

Further enquiry is going on to unearth more assets and other substantial expenditure of the S.O.
