Compensation Paid To Families of Covid Warriors by Berhampur, SP

Berhampur: The families of COVID warriors of Berhampur Police district who died on duty were handed over ex gratia amount as announced by the state government on Thursday.

The frontline Cops who succumbed to the Covid Virus infection were working in different capacities.

On Thursday, Superintendent of Police of Berhampur, Pinak Mishra handed over cheques of Rs 50 lakh each to Anita Mandal wife of late Krushna Chandra Mandal working as ASI, Traffic Police station and Saubhagya Manjari Kanhar wife of Jitendra Pradhan, Constable in Bada Bazar Police station.

“We express our gratitude to Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik for sanctioning the ex gratia to police COVID warriors who laid down their lives while rendering services in COVID-19 management,” the SP said.

Among others, ASP, Prabhat Routray, ASP, PK.Mishrs, SDPO (City),B.Pati, and other senior police officers were present. Let’s pay Homage to those Cops martyred warriors for the society during such pandemic.
