NAMITA DIDI SENT TO JAIL AGAINST FRAUDULENT CHARGES BY VIGILANCE

BERHAMPUR:Basing on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets beyond her limit of her own income sources Smt. Namita Dalai @Jena, Anganawadi Worker under Berhampur Municipal Corporation Ward No-9 sent to Jail against Vigilance enquiry.
Enquiry revealed that, Namita Dalai is a Govt Servant, her father late Arakhita Jena was an Umbrella seller residing at Balajipentho Street, Berhampur where as Mother late Netri Jena was a house wife. Her parents have 9 Children, five daughters and four Sons.Nirmala Patra is the eldest of all, already married.
All her siblings are residing in nearby Berhampur city with their families; Her Parents have got no Irrigated lands in their name.
She has completed her Matriculation from Berhampur Govt Girls High School in the year of passing 1988, completed +2 Arts in distance education during her service period as Anganawadi Worker in the year 1990 at Mangaleswari Petta-II, Ganesh Nagar, Berhampur and continuing till date. During her tenure, she pursued her +3 course in Distance Education. She got married Manoranjan Dalai of Village, Chandapur, Konisi under Golonthara police limit during the year 1995. Manaranjan is labourer according to her statement. She is blessed with one Son name Soumyaranjan in the year 1997.
She got divorced with her Husband in the year 2016 where as she has been residing separately since 2017.Her husband has already died.
Soumya has pursued his Mother and did his Matriculation from Nilakantha Nagar Saraswati Sisu Mandir,+2 from Khallikote College Berhampur in the year 2016 and now pursuing BTech in ITER College, Bhubaneswar.
She had purchased many residential houses, Lands in Berhampur, Bhubaneswar and Khurdha districts which total cost comes nearly 3 Crs.
In this context, the Berhampur Vigilance sleuths made an accidental raid and found such huge amount of Immoveable and movable properties.
The official established that the accused lady restored to corrupt practices thereby illegally enriched herself and accumulated assets disproportion to her known sources of income. Notably. Her entire period of service from 27/11/1990 to 21/12/2020 has been taken into account the house search and subsequent enquiry revealed earned Corers of properties. She has been produced before the court on Wednesday and her bail petition been rejected the court finally she forwarded to Jail.
