Police raid house of D-Brothers’

Cuttack: A police team raided the house of Dhala Samanta gangster brothers in CDA area in the city and seized a huge cache of weapons. Police so far has found seven firearms and more than 500 live bullets during the raid.

Acting on a tip-off Police conducted the raids where the gangster brothers were operating their crime syndicate and drawing their sketch monitoring from jail with gang members.

Several members of the gang have been arrested on charges of extortion since the two brothers have been sent to jail.

Dhal Samanta brothers (D-brothers) were arrested in January, 2016 during a special operation launched by Commissionerate Police.

Police had seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition, cash and other luxury items from their hideout in Bhubaneswar and residence in Cuttack.

Today,they are serving their jail terms being convicted in several cases.
