DAY- IV, DRIVE AGAINST DRUG PEDDLERS IN BERHAMPUR POLICE DISTRICT.

BERHAMPUR: District Police, Berhampur on special directives of Superintendent of Police Pinak Mishra mounted massive crackdown against drug peddlers and element many criminals in Berhampur police district.
Mishra has also directed all Police Station Officers to expedite action against Criminals and drug pushers and has instructed SDPOs to personally supervise the operations.
On Wednesday during special drive against narcotics on 4th day at about 15:00 Hrs, Sub Inspector, Jyoti Ranjan Behera while conducting motor vehicle checking at Baiganabadi, with Sub Inspector, KC.Mallick, Sub Inspector, M Pradhan and others of Sadar PS intercepted Apurba Nayak of Padmapur,Police Station,Golanthara and Bapu Mahapatra of Alliabad,Ganjam who were transporting contraband Ganja in a Royal Enfield Bullet M.C.bearing registration No:-OD-07P-2800 belonging to Apurba Nayak.
During search 28kg-240gm of Ganja was found from their exclusive possession. The consignment and the motor cycle were seized. The cost of the contraband is about one lakh.
In this connection Sadar PS case no 367/20u/s20(B)(ii)(C)has been registered and Sub Inspector Ms.Sabita Panigrahy is investigating into the case. Both the accd persons are involved in a number of cases.
