ROURKELA STEEL PLANT’S PRODUCTION HAS EXCELLED IN ALL FRONTS

ROURKELA: Rourkela steel Plant (RSP) one of the finest steel plants in the country has excelled production performance in all fronts in the month of November, 2020. It has excelled the best ever November performance by making 378146 tonnes of Hot Metal surpassing its earlier best of 318584 tonnes which was achieved in the year, 2018. The major contributor is Blast furnace-5’ Durga’ which is having the best figure by tapping 246313 tonnes of Hot Metal and the Steel Melting Shops complemented the effort by producing 350006 tonees of total crude steel which is exceptional and it never happened from the day of inception. The saleable steel production improved in tandem and reached the 314361 tonnes which is the highest for any November. The Sinter Plants together produced 621849 tonnes of sinter to achieve their best November output and the single-day sinter production touched an all time high on 30^th November at 22459 tonnes. In Covid-19 time also RSP has managed to achieve this performance is praiseworthy. The head of the organizations Dipak Chattaraj, CEO, RSP had visited various units on 1^St December to congratulate all employees who had contributed their effort in this massive success.
