World AIDS Day Celebrated at NTPC Talcher Kaniha

TALCHER: NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated World AIDS Day in its Hospital premises on December 1, 2020. On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. R.K Mishra delivered a talk to create awareness regarding the myths associated with AIDS and ways to combat them. Officials from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Angul also joined the program and distributed ribbons and leaflets for creating awareness.
In his address, Dr. R.K Mishra emphasized the theme for this year’s World AIDS Day “Global solidarity and shared responsibility.” He highlighted the importance of strengthening communities to fight against HIV and eradicate HIV infections by 2030. In addition, a presentation on COVID Care and infection control was also given by the nursing staff and Apollo staff.
NTPC Kaniha Hospital also celebrated Pharmacy Week earlier from November 16-22, 2020. To conclude the program, pharmacists were felicitated with a token of appreciation by Dr R.K Mishra, CMO in the presence of senior doctors of the Hospital, Dr Aparajita Mishra, Dr. Madhulika Banerjee and other hospital staff for their services during the on-going pandemic.
