WADI PROJECT INAUGURATED IN KOIRA AND KUARMUNDA BLOCK

ROURKELA: Bonei, MLA, Laxman Munda has inaugurated the Wadi Project in Kamarposh village under Koira block in presence of Sub-Collector, Pradip Sadangi by planting sapling of cashew nut.
The said project is undertaken under 6 blocks of mines affected area to encourage locals to earn more in different types of agro products including dry fruits and other fruits. This project is kick started in Kamarposh village on 58.5 acre of lands where 50 farmers will be doing farming under this project. Already in 136 acres of land saplings of cashew nut and mango is planned to plant which is undoubtedly a great move. Similarly in Kuarmunda block, such type of project is kick started in Dumerjore village wherein 32 farmers will be trying their luck on 77.5 acres of lands. This project was inaugurated by Block Chairman Smt. Magdali Kangali in presence of Vice-Chairman Shyam Sundar Sahu, Sunita Ahir, member Zilla Parishad, Asst.Agriculture Officer Bhiimsen Choudhury, Sukhu Ram, Domerjore, Sarpanch and the trustee of Harash Trust, Kulul Bora. It is already planned to continue this project on 500acres of land in these 6 blocks. All funding will be done by district Mineral funds and payment for laborers will be done under MGNREGA fund.
