28,10,951 Voters Included in Final Electoral Roll; District Collector Appreciates Efforts of BLOs and Election Officials
Chhatrapur, September 21, 2026: The final electoral roll for Ganjam district was published today following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, which continued for around three and a half months. The final roll has been displayed at all polling stations across the district as well as at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Booth Level Agents (BLAs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and election personnel worked tirelessly to successfully complete the revision process. Voters across the district also extended active cooperation throughout the exercise.
Ganjam District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of this important democratic exercise. He also thanked members of the media for creating public awareness and disseminating information about the Special Intensive Revision process.
Following the revision, a total of 28,10,951 voters have been included in the final electoral roll across the district’s 13 Assembly Constituencies.
The constituency-wise voter strength is as follows:

Before publication of the draft electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision, the district had a total of 29,99,782 registered voters across the 13 Assembly Constituencies. According to the District Collector, 1,88,831 names were excluded from the final electoral roll following the revision process.

19,849 New Young Voters Registered
Special emphasis was also given to the registration of young voters during the revision exercise. A total of 19,849 voters in the 18–19 age group have been included in the final electoral roll.
Among the 13 Assembly Constituencies, Chhatrapur recorded the highest number with 2,215 young voters, followed by Sorada with 1,899 and Polasara with 1,853.
851 Additional Polling Stations Added
The polling stations have also been rationalised for the 2025–26 electoral year to facilitate voters and make the voting process more accessible.
The district previously had 3,124 polling stations.
As many as 851 additional polling stations have now been established. Following the rationalisation, the total number of polling stations in Ganjam district has increased to 3,975.
Among others, Additional District Collector Debadatta Panda, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sameer Kumar Jena, Deputy Collector (Election) Dr. Arun Kumar Khanda, and District Information and Public Relations Officer Sourabh Pradhan were present on the occasion.
