Preparatory Meeting Held for Sri Binayak Parva at Panchama Siddha Binayak Peetha

Berhampur, September 10: A preparatory meeting was held at Panchama to ensure the smooth and proper observance of “Sri Binayak Parva” at the historic Siddha Binayak Peetha at Panchama on September 14 (Monday), corresponding to Bhadrab Shukla Chaturthi, as per the annual tradition.
Located near the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border, the Siddha Binayak Peetha witnesses a massive gathering of devotees every year on Ganesh Puja, with more than three lakh devotees from Odisha and neighbouring states expected to visit the shrine.
As part of the religious programme, the divine procession of the Ashta Shambhu Mahadevas will arrive at the Siddhi Binayak Peetha at around 2:35 PM on September 13, a day before Ganesh Puja.
On September 14, the rituals of bathing and worship of Lord Binayak will commence at 3:45 AM, followed by the completion of the Aarti. General devotees will be allowed darshan from 5:00 AM.
A Ghruta Yajna will commence at 9:00 AM at the Siddha Binayak Peetha, with the Purnahuti scheduled for the afternoon. The temple will close at around 10:00 PM following the completion of the Lord Binayak’s Pahuda Niti.
For the convenience of devotees, shelters and drinking-water facilities will be arranged at every major junction from Randha Chhak to the temple. LED screens will also be installed at different points along the route to enable devotees to have darshan.
Special arrangements have been made for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, with free vehicles to be provided from Randha Chhak to the temple.
Devotees will also be provided free darshan and laddu prasad during the festival.
The administration has made arrangements for the convenience and orderly movement of the public, including an information centre in front of the temple. Police, health, fire services and electricity departments will also remain deployed to manage the large gathering and ensure public safety.
On the day of Ganesh Puja, four-wheelers will be permitted to reach the temple through Sunadei village, as part of the traffic management arrangements.
Several ministers of the Odisha Government, along with all Members of Parliament and MLAs from Ganjam district, are also scheduled to visit the Siddha Peetha at Panchama on the occasion of Ganesh Puja to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Binayak.
The preparatory meeting held at Panchama was attended by Gouri Shankar Samantara and Subas Mandal, advisers to the Interim Trust Management Committee of Sri Ganesh Temple; President Simanchal Patra; Vice-President Tuna Jena; Secretary Bhakta Vatsal Nayak; Joint Secretary Kailash Chandra Mahanti; Treasurer Bapi Samantaray; Coordinator Sudhir Kanta Mandal; Joint Coordinator Sarat Chandra Kar; and executive members Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Dibakar Nayak, Haribandhu Mandal, Udayanath Nahak, Laxmi Choudhury, Rajendra Patra, Santosh Sahu, K. Prameswar Rao, Jagamohan Patra, Umakanta Sasamal, Rajat Pandit, Krishna Chandra Choudhury, Santosh Behera, Sanjay Sahu, Gokul Kar, Sunil Kumar Sahu, Prabhat Kiran Sadangi and Kamal Patra, among others.
Members of the Siddha Binayak Peetha Temple Management Committee, senior leaders from surrounding areas and several media representatives also attended the meeting.
