Brahmapur,(6/07/2026):Brahmapur Railway Station to Get Rs.300 Crore World-Class Makeover Under Amrit Bharat Scheme announced by railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday that Brahmapur Railway Station in Odisha will be transformed into a world-class railway hub under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore.

Speaking at an event in Brahmapur, Vaishnaw said the redevelopment project aims to equip the station with modern infrastructure and world-class passenger facilities.

“The Indian Railways will develop Brahmapur Railway Station into a world-class railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at an estimated cost of around Rs 300 crore,” he said.

The upgraded station will feature state-of-the-art passenger amenities, contemporary architecture, improved accessibility and seamless multimodal integration, making it a key gateway to southern Odisha.

Vaishnaw also said he would return to Brahmapur to participate in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the project, reiterating the Centre’s commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure and improving passenger experience across the region.
