FORMER TAHASILDAR, PADAMPUR, KHIRABDI BEHERA CONVICTED IN DA CASE: Rigorous imprisonment for three years with Rs.1 lakh fine

Rayagada, May 19: Khirabdi Behera, OAS, Former Tahasildar, Padampur, Dist-Rayagada (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 for possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Special Court, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/-.
Odisha Vigilance will now move thej competent authority for stoppage of pension of Behera, following his conviction.
