Baphlimali Mines CSR Inaugurates MHU at Railghati

.Target to Provide Doorstep Healthcare Services to 45,000 People
Tikiri, 21/4: Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries under the the Aditya Birla Group, has launched a Mobile Health Unit (MHU) at Railghati village under Kashipur block of Rayagada district as part of its CSR initiative from the Baphlimali Mines.

The programme was attended by Sarpanch of Kodipari, Dambarudhar Majhi; Human Rights Representative, Sadan Majhi; SI of Andirakanch Police Station, Arun Kumar Patra; along with CSR officials Manoj Dash, Devi Priya, Nirupama Barik, Dilip Naik, MHU staff, and local community representatives.
Addressing the gathering, Sarpanch Dambarudhar Majhi stated that UAIL’s CSR initiatives have brought visible transformation to Railghati village. He noted that just three years ago, the village lacked basic infrastructure such as road connectivity, but now the area is witnessing people-centric development.
Similarly, Sadan Majhi appreciated the human-centric CSR initiatives of Baphlimali Mines under UAIL. He informed that the Mobile Health Unit will visit villages every day to provide free medical services, doctor consultations, medicines, diagnostic tests, referral support, and access to advanced treatment at Utkal Hospital and government hospitals. He also urged the community to remain grateful for this initiative.
SI Arun Patra also appreciated UAIL’s CSR activities and said that Railghati is emerging as a model of development. He added that the initiative reflects UAIL’s strong commitment to community welfare, particularly in healthcare and social development.
The programme witnessed active participation from local representatives and villagers, reflecting widespread support and enthusiasm. This rural mobile healthcare initiative will enable people in nearby villages of UAIL to access healthcare services at their doorstep, reducing the need to travel long distances for treatment.
Currently, two Mobile Health Units are operational under UAIL’s initiative, with a target to serve approximately 45,000 people.
