Successful Fire Safety Mock Drill Conducted in Brahmapur

BRAHMAPUR; 28/03: A successful fire safety mock drill was conducted at Janata City Centre in Brahmapur by the Fire Department to enhance public awareness and emergency preparedness.
The primary objective of the exercise was to demonstrate safe evacuation procedures from shopping malls and large buildings during fire emergencies through quick, coordinated, and well-planned action.
During the drill, fire personnel carried out practical rescue operations and demonstrated the effective use of modern fire fighting equipment.
The exercise highlighted the importance of rapid response, teamwork, and strategic planning in minimizing loss and damage during emergencies.
Members of the public were also educated on basic fire safety measures, including how to remain calm, protect themselves and assist others during critical situations.
The programme was attended by Deputy Fire Officer Purna Chandra Marandi, AFO Thakur Prasad Dalai and other senior officials along with BeMC Deputy Commissioner Ashirbad Parida, contributing to its overall success.
