ODISHA PRIVATE BUS OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION REFUSE TO PLY BUSES

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association refused to ply buses from today despite the announcement by the state government on the resumption of intra-state bus services with full seat capacity on today.
In a press briefing here on Sunday, spokesperson of the association, Debashis Nayak said that the the bus drivers and helpers have gone to their village as the bus owners have not been able to pay their salary due to the ongoing lockdown.
Besides, the association will run the buses be run only after a discussion with Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera reports said.
Notably, intra-state bus services in Odisha were suspended due to a nationwide lockdown.
