KEONJHAR:PATNA LADY IIC THRASHES A YOUTH INSIDE IN POLICE STATION

KEONJHAR:A youth was thrashed black and blue inside police station premises on last Monday in Keonjhar district of Odisha. One video in this connection has gone viral.
The video speak and presenting , a lady cop is mercilessly beating up a youth with a stick and mouthing rough language.. After a while she also kicked him and accordingly the matter was widely reported in media.
As per reports, the lady cop in the video was Inspector In Charge of Patana Police Station in Keonjhar district.While scribes asked about the incident the IIC denied giving any statement on it.
Taking action in the matter Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) sought report from concerned IIC within 4 weeks and ordered Rs 10,000 compensation for the victim to be deducted from her salary. The commission also sought report from Keonjhar SP in this regard.
However,in subsequest development the Inspector In Charge of Patana Police agreed to face a salary cut of Rs. 10,000 towards compensation to the victim whom she had mercilessly thrashed with a stick inside the police station.
Most interestingly earlier the Lady Cop had been awarded with Best Police Officer of the district.
