BERHAMPUR, Recent data presented to the Odisha Legislative Assembly reveals a significant issue with substandard and counterfeit medicines across the state, including seizures of fake drugs worth over Rs. 2.5 crore between 2021 and 2024-25. Authorities have detected 168 fake and 388 substandard medicines during this period.

Ganjam-1:- Berhampur120 Wholesaler, retailer 465
Ganjsm-2- Chikiti, Gopalpur and Patrapur
Inspector -3- Chatrapur Wholesellers-120 Retailer 395
Inspector -4- Bhanjanagar Sub Division
Govt provided separate four wheeler to area visit mainly to extend Specific attention to Berhampur Municipal Corporation, three Sub-Division and 22 Block Head quarters but all they preferred to make their visit with their personal two wheeler reason well known to public if Odisha Vigilance would have vigilant(?).
However; it we came to know the Govt.Vehicle provided the inspectors maximum using for their personal use if the log book crosschecked and the driver interrogated by the intelligent agency (!).In the name of Director meeting all frequently visiting to Bhubaneswar without the permission of head quarter leaving from District Collector (!).
Recent past Mohan Majhi govt has made reshuffle years in Drug department even after nobody interested to move from Berhampur(?) with this issue we started own investigation .accordingly to the owner of a old Stockist he said what is the real inspection we do not know(?). ove in a blue moon he/they comes asking for stock position,just looking sales bill book putting their initial signature inspection is over.agaian when te next visit but we are relaxed no tension.
Further, he added the information is that, Inspectors having their large size family in Ganjam/ around they have around 500 feeding family members ( Stockist and retailers) they have no time to give justice to their own family,(?).
