AQI falls in Bhubaneswar to 180

Bhubaneswar: Diwali celebrations increased the pollution levels in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and  Cuttack. The Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped due to heavy pollution caused by firecrackers.

According to reports, the AQI in the capital has  fallen to 180. Air has become polluted in various parts of Bhubaneswar. While AQI of 185 was recorded in the Laxmisagar area, the AQI was recorded at 174 in Bapuji nagar area.

It is worth mentioning here that generally the AQI above 100 is considered dangerous. If dust particles increase in the atmosphere, there is a possibility of respiratory problems and skin diseases.
