BERHAMPUR:On the basis of local inputs, it is being apprehended that there might be good number of persons residing in the area who might have come in contact with some positive cases for which it is necessary to declare the street as access control zone to safeguard the public and control the spread of COVID-19 through active surveillance as informed by Chakravartysingh Rathhore,Commissioner , Berhampur Municipal Corporation.

Commissioner,BeMC has declared Sankarpur Street of the city as access control zone in order to contain spread of COVID-19 in the area and the order is valid till further official order..

According to Rathore,Commissioner,the step has been taken, after assuming that most people in the locality might have come in contact with some positive cases and its for the safeguard the public and control the spread of COVID-19 through active surveillance,.

All the inhabitants within the access control zone shall strictly remain in home quarantine. All the shopping establishments of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately.
