Lawyer Pitabas Panda’s death occurred due to excessive bleeding and fear, says postmortem report
Berhampur: The postmortem report of the sensational shooting death of Berhampur lawyer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pitabas Panda has been finally released.
According to the autopsy report, which the MKCG Medical Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT) Department submitted to the investigating officer of the case, Berhampur SDPO Priyas Ranjan Chhotray, Panda’s death occurred due to excessive bleeding and fear.
On the other hand, the police, who are looking for the root of the murder case, are now conducting a thorough investigation from different angles.
Meanwhile, Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M informed that a luxury car was tracked and traced and the owner of the vehicle, along with some others, is being questioned over the death of the senior lawyer who was shot dead on the night of October 6.
It is to be mentioned here that Seema Swain, the Additional SP of Berhampur was transferred to Talcher as the Additional SP. Swain was transferred in connection with the murder of the lawyer while Alok Kumar Jena, who is currently working as Additional SP in Balangir district, has been posted in his place. Berhampur SP was on leave on the day of the ghastly murder case.
