Cuttack Bali Yatra Grounds

Cuttack: The Cuttack District Administration has declared the historic Bali Yatra grounds and nearby areas a ‘No Drone Zone’ from November 1 to 15, 2025. This decision was taken ahead of the grand annual fair that attracts lakhs of visitors every year.

An official order by Cuttack Collector and District Magistrate Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde prohibits the flying of drones, UAVs, paragliders, power hang gliders, microlight aircraft, and hot air balloons within a 5-kilometre radius of the Upper and Lower Bali Yatra grounds.

The restriction has been imposed under Section 14(1) of the BNSS Act, 2023, read with Section 163, to ensure public safety and the smooth conduct of the festival. The move aims to prevent aerial threats, security breaches, or accidents during the event, which is expected to draw over 50 lakh visitors this year.

Only authorized government agencies will be allowed to use drones for surveillance and crowd management. Violators will face equipment seizure and legal action.

Bali Yatra 2025 will be held from November 5 to 12, celebrating Odisha’s maritime history and cultural heritage.
