Rogue DJs Battle It Out At Ganesh Visarjan; Now Sealed
Berhampur: What was meant to be a night of devotion and celebration turned into a high-decibel showdown as two DJ trucks clashed literally during Ganesh immersion festivities in Phulta village on the outskirts of Berhampur in the Ganjam district.
The viral video of the incident, featuring sparks, smashed speakers, and a crowd caught in chaos, prompted swift action from the Berhampur administration.
In a move that’s music to the ears of peace-loving citizens, authorities sealed the shops of the two DJ operators- Rahul DJ and Bajrang DJ- and seized their trucks and sound equipment. The face-off, which saw the trucks ramming into each other multiple times, caused panic among hundreds of devotees and onlookers.
Berhampur sub-Collector Abhishek Kumar confirmed to media that both operators will also lose their driving licences.
The incident has reignited concerns over noise pollution and reckless behaviour during public events. While DJs may love to crank up the bass, the administration has made it clear: public safety and sanity come first.
So next time DJs think of turning the volume to 11, they should remember that Berhampur’s not dancing to their high-volume tune anymore.
