Berhampur: In a ghastly act of animal cruelty, a cow is in critical condition after allegedly being attacked with acid in Berhampur’s Gandhi Nagar, Maruti Vihar area.
The incident occurred when the cow, part of a herd owned by M. Ram Krishna, reportedly wandered into a private residence.
The enraged homeowner allegedly retaliated by throwing acid on the animal. The cow sustained severe burns and its health is rapidly deteriorating despite veterinary care.
