Odisha Vigilance Raids BMC Executive Engineer’s Properties over DA Allegations

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials launched simultaneous raids on four properties linked to Jagannath Pattnaik, Executive Engineer of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), following allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) to known sources of income.

The search, currently in progress, was sanctioned by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, and is being conducted by a team comprising six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), ten Inspectors, and supporting staff.

The locations under investigation include a triple-storeyed residence at Plot No. RP-12 in Badagada, Bhubaneswar; a farmhouse at Mouza Ranapur in Balianta Tahasil of Khordha district; Pattnaik’s parental home at Jangam Street, Gunupur in Rayagada; and his office space at BMC headquarters.Officials are scrutinizing documents and assets to determine discrepancies, if any, between Pattnaik’s declared income and his holdings. Further updates are expected as the probe unfolds.
