One more Babu in Watershed deptt nabbed by Vigilance: Disproportion assets acquired mainly during his stint in Rayagada
Rayagada,( 30/06/25):MGNREGA. While appreciating the steps taken by the present government, it is also alleged that Bagh allied with some other local officers in the district to further his heinous interest. A detailed investigation in Rayagada will certainly unearth the pandora’s box, opine local netizens. In ongoing searches at 8 locations of Sri Dayanidhi Bagh, Ex-PD, Watershed, Rayagada, A/p Joint Director, office of Director, Soil Conservation and
Watershed Development, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, the following movable and immovable assets worth Crores have been unearthed so far, in the name of Sri Bagh and his family members;

Seizure
1) One 3-BHK Flat with area 1450 Sqft. located at Flat No.1-D,
Mahanadi Apartment, Gothapatana, Bhubaneswar
2) One building (under construction) with area 3000 Sqft. at Padalguda
near Majhiguda Chhaka, Nabarangpur Town, Dist. Nabarangpur.
3) One building located at Housing Board Colony, Chandrasekharpur,
Bhubaneswar.
4) One Shopping Complex comprising 5 shops with area 1400 Sqft. near
Nabarangpur Town
5) One Farm house spread over 40 Acres at Bijraguda, Nabarangpur
with drip irrigation facility and farm equipment’s/agricultural
materials with investment of approx Rs.1 Crore.
6) Another Farm house spread over 6 Acres at Phatakote, Nabarangpur
with drip irrigation facility and 1 farm house building having plinth
area of 950 Sqft. with investment of approx Rs.46,12,665/-
7) Further 27 Acres of land in Nabarangpur district.
8) 11 Acres of land on the outskirts of Bhabanipatna town.
Undervaluation of the plots during registration is suspected. A
thorough probe has been initiated in this regard.The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/ at/Farm houses are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
9) Gold ornaments weighing 312 gms.
10) Bank deposits worth Rs.58,41,422/-.
11) 1 four wheeler (Brezza) benami car under verification & 1 two
wheeler.
12) Household articles worth around Rs.9 Lakhs.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Surendra Mohan Naik, Former Asst. Fisheries Officer, Kaptipada Block, Dist-Mayurbhanj (retired) and Sri Raghunath Kar, Former Asst. Fisheries Officer, office of District Fisheries Officer, Mayurbhanj (retired) following their conviction.
