Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 commenced at NTPC Northern Region HQ

NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow, is observing Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 from May 16 to 31,2025 under the Government of India’s initiative to promote cleanliness. This year’s theme, “Swachhta is Everyone’s Business,” highlights collective responsibility in maintaining hygiene.
The observance began with the Swachhta Pledge, administered by Shri N. S. Rao, Regional Executive Director (North), in the presence of Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, and other senior officials.
In his address, Shri Rao encouraged employees to go beyond physical cleanliness and focus on digital hygiene, such as desktop and file management, as we are working in a paperless work environment which is essential for efficiency & productivity in work. The pledge commits individuals to 100 hours annually, and 2 hours weekly, to cleanliness activities and spreading awareness.
Activities during the fortnight will include cleanliness drives in public areas and competitions for schoolchildren and families to foster community involvement.
