Puri: Puri’s Blue Flag Beach is getting ready for the display of India’s military might on Navy Day to be celebrated on December 4. Odisha is hosting such an event for the first time.
The Navy Day at Puri Beach will showcase India’s maritime strength and seafaring heritage. In the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, the Navy Day celebration will feature an operational demonstration (Op Demo) by the Indian Navy.
Preparations for the event are in full swing at the Puri Blue Flag Beach. Eight Indian Army battle tanks have already arrived at the venue.
The grand display on Navy Day will include 24 warships, 40 aircraft, and helicopters demonstrating the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities.
The event aims to highlight the Navy’s multifaceted competencies, boost maritime awareness among the public, and honor India’s rich maritime traditions.
The Indian Navy is coordinating with the Odisha state government and local authorities to ensure the seamless execution of the event. While VVIPs will have reserved viewing, the public will also be allowed to witness the Navy’s prowess. For those unable to attend, the event will be broadcast live on national television and streamed on the Indian Navy’s official YouTube channel.
