Subhadra Yojana: Deadline Announced for First Instalment Applications

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced March 7, 2025, as the last date for women to apply for financial aid under the Subhadra Yojana, its flagship welfare programme.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed that the first installment of the scheme’s financial assistance must be availed before the deadline.

The second installment is scheduled to be distributed on March 8, 2025, coinciding with International Women’s Day.So far, over 80 lakh women have benefited from the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to uplift women across the state by directly transferring Rs 5,000 into their bank accounts.

In the first phase, 25 lakh women received assistance on September 17, followed by 39 lakh in the second phase on October 9 and 20 lakh in the third phase on November 24.

With a target of reaching 1 crore beneficiaries by December 2024, the state government is intensifying efforts to expand the scheme’s reach and enhance the socio-economic status of women.
