Repair of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar, Inventory of Its Valuables To be Complete By Jan 2025: Law Min

Bhubaneswar: The repair work of Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar will be started by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) soon, said state Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday. He also added that the inventory process of all the valuables in the Ratna Bhandar will be completed by end of January 2025. Harichandantold reporters that the documentation of the valuables will be started after the completion of repair work of the Ratna Bhandar.

As per tradition and provision, the inventory of the valuables and ornaments has to be done in the Ratna Bhandar itself as they cannot be taken outside. Now they are kept in safe custody in the temporary strong room. The repair work and inventory of the Puri Jagannath Temple Ratna Bhandar will be completed by the end of January next year, Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan informed on Monday.

According to the Law Minister, the repair work of Meghanad Pacheri of Puri Jagannath Temple is underway. The repair work will be reviewed at a meeting on November 20, he added.
