ROURKELA MUNICIPALITY CORPORATION PUT OUT NEW GUIDELINES FOR ONGOING LOCKDOWN

ROURKELA: Rourkela has become new sensation after four people tested COVID-19 positive yesterday in Nala Road. This four is added to another 1 from the same area tested positive few days back. Total administration is on front foot to fight this pandemic. Rourkela ADM, in a vdo release requested to the people of Rourkela to stay home and to take all precautions, like covering ones face and washing your hands regularly and to stay at home. She also warned the regular offenders who are on street without any reason and violating lockdown guidelines. She categorically warned everyone not to blame any community in particular for this spread of corona. She went on to say that corona doesn’t have any religion and cannot be a puppet in anybody’s hand and can attack if you are not careful without seeing someone’s religion. Anybody who spreads falsehood will be taken to task, she added. Reviewing the recent progress, District administration has revised guidelines vide no-3593, dtd-29/4/2020 for the people of the district to follow religiously. And the recent guidelines highlights, timing of the shops to be opened in different categories must be followed. Grocery and Ration shops to be opened from 7am to 12 noon, vegetable, Mushroom & fruit vendor have to operate between 7am to 12 noon, Non-veg items like Meat, fish, chicken will remain open on Sunday only between 7am to 12 noon but egg shops will remain open every day from 7am to 12 noon. All shops dealing with electrical and electronics repairing should open their shop from 7am to 12 noon and clinic and patho-labs can open their outlet from 6am to 12noon. All medicine shops will remain open as usual 24 hours. Vehicle, cycle, battery and tySre repairing shops will remain open from 7am to 12noon. Construction and building material, hardware and sanitary shops will remain open from 7am to 12 noon. The construction activities will continue as per Govt. guidelines maintaining proper social distancing. All financial institutions shall remain as per Govt. guidelines. Movement of self employed persons has been allowed from 7am to 12 noon and against 5pm to 8 pm but they have to present substantive proof about themselves. All agricultural equipment, pesticides, manure, seeds, fertilizers and animal fodder supplier should open between 7am to 12 noon. In every case, social distancing is mandatory along with face cover. Hotels & Restaurants can open only with take away facilities and home delivery is allowed and the timing would be 8am to 2pm and from 6pm to 8pm. All bakery and Sweets vendors can provide service through take away only and finally all milk and OMFED parlors will remain open from 6am to 11am and from 5pm to 8pm. All other facilitators who are engaged with in manufacturing, wholesale or retail of such goods through local stores, large brick and mortar stores or e-commerce companies should be allowed to operate from 6am to 11am and 5pm to 8 pm. For movement of motor vehicles (private vehicles for emergency services) and four wheeler vehicle only two persons will be allowed, one driver and one co passenger on the back seat and for two wheeler, only driver of the vehicle shall be allowed. Social distancing and covering your face is mandatory to fight corona.
