Miscreants Kidnap Rice Mill Owner In Koraput, Demand Rs 70 Lakh Ransom
Koraput: Unidentified miscreants kidnapped a rice mill owner in the Borriguma area in Koraput district on Friday and demanded Rs 70 lakh ransom for his release.
The victim has been identified as A Ramesh Patra.
According to sources, the abductors intercepted the car in which Patra was returning from his mill located near Perahandi village around 8 pm on Friday and sped away in it with him.
His family has registered a complaint in this regard with Borriguma police, which has formed a team to rescue the victim and trace the culprits. CCTV footage of the area is also being examined.
