Puri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar May be Opened for Enumeration on July 8
Bhubaneswar: The Ratna Bhandar Sri Jagannath temple in Puri is expected to be opened on July 8.
According to sources, the documentation ornaments in the treasure trove will continue for 20 days- from July 8 to July 27.
Ahead of the opening of the Ratna Bhandar, the supervising committee of 12 members may hold a meeting on July 5. It will be the third meeting of the committee. The final decision on the opening of Ratna Bhandar and the detail schedule for the documentation will be taken in this meeting.
Opening of the Ratna Bhandar also requires permission of the State government. Discussion will also be made with Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb who is the chairman of the management committee.
Justice Arijit Pasayat, who is heading the committee to supervise the inventory of valuables in Ratna Bhandar, is expected to reach Odisha on July 4.
