NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club provides Water Tankers and Education materials to underprivileged children
Ranchi : NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club (SSLC) under its welfare initiative provided two water tanks and food packets were distributed to Adim Jatiya Seva Mandal (Orphanage Home for Tribal & Underprivileged Children). The objective of this initiative was to ensure availability of drinking water during peak summer and essential food items to the residents of the children home.
In addition, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club (SSLC), members visited Robinhood Army’s cluster, an organisation catering support for education of the slum area underprivileged children in Bariatu,Ranchi. Education for underprivileged children lacked basic resources such as textbooks and school supplies. This makes it difficult for children to learn effectively. Keeping in view of this, SLC aimed to bridge between underprivileged children and education by distribution of stationery items, textbooks to children with willingness to learn.
The distribution was done under the leadership and able guidance of Smt Rekha Jain, President,SSLC. Speaking on this occasion,Smt Jain said “The aim of our organization is to serve the backward sections of the society, and we are extremely happy to take this initiative to serve the society” Beneficiaries expressed happiness over this initiative and appreciated the efforts of the Ladies Club.
On the occasion, Vice President Smt Shikha Rastogi, Smt Purnima Shrikhande,Smt Mansa Verma, General Secretary ,Smt Deepa, Joint Secretary ,Smt Parmeshwari, Cultural Secretary Smt Snigdha Majjhi ,Treasurer and other members were present on the occasion.
