FINAL PREPARATION FOR SGE IN RAYAGADA

Rayagada,(Badal Tah): All steps have been complied by the Rayagada district administration for the simultaneous general election, 2024. Phase-I Polling is going to be held on May 13th for Gunpur, Rayagada & Bissam Cuttack Legislative Assembly and Koraput Lok Sabha seats. For this, out of 884 booths in toto, polling will be held in 290 booths for Gunupur, 293 booths of Bissam Cuttack and 301 booths of Rayagada assembly and Koraput Lok Sabha seats. 5304 polling and presiding officers of the district have been employed for these three constituencies. Similarly, police have been deployed for the security of each booth. For Gunupur & Bissam Cuttack Constituencies, the polling and presiding officers have been sent to the respective booths on last Saturday to carry out the work from the local GCD High School Ground, For Rayagada constituency, Polling and Presiding Officers were sent on Sunday from EMRS School Ground. Exclusive Booths for 88 Sakhis(Women), 15 youth category, 3 Dibyang, one PVTG and one eco-friendly have been established.
 
731153 voters from 884 polling stations of the district will vote out of which 3,35,977 male and 3,76,988 female voters & 188 third gender voters will cast their votes. There are 121 sensitive booths & no mobile service in 78 booths. In order to organize the election transparently and impartially, the district election officer-cum-collector has formed 4 assistant election expenditure inspectors, 18 flying squads, 18 aerial surveillance teams, 3 video surveillance teams, 3 video viewing teams and 3 accounting teams. Sector officers and zonal supervisors have been deployed in each block to ensure safe delivery of the team.
 
Rayagada Constituency MLA Candidates are Anusaya Majhi from BJD, Kadraka Appalswamyfrom Congress, Purna Chandra Majhi from BSP, Basant Ullaka from BJP, Kondagari Sinalu from Naba Bharat Nirman Seva Party, Krushna Palaka from CPI, Banamali Majhi from Ambedkarite Party of India, Bhagawan Majhi, Rangarao Kondagari, Suchitra Majhi, Independents.  Out of 254953 total voters, 120357 are males &  134497 females & 99 Transgenders. There are 44 sensitive booths & mobile service unavailable in 43 booths.
 
Bisam Cuttack Constituency MLA Candidates are Jagannath Sarka, BJD, Jagannath Nundruka, BJP, Nilamadhaba Hikaka, Congress, Jitendra Jakaka, BSP, Anita Pidikaka, Naba Bharat Nirman Seva Party, Ram Chandra Praska, CPI, Nilamadhab Ullaka, Parmananda Huika, Independents.  Out of 234253 total voters, 107692 are males & 126522 females & 39 Transgenders. There are 40 sensitive booths & mobile service unavailable in 14 booths
 
Gunupur Constituency MLA Candidates are BJD- Raghunath Gamang, BJP-Trinath Gamang, Congress- Satyajit Gamang, CPIML- Anashim Shabar, BSP- Sibaram Mambalaka, Independents- Rashmita Shabar, Falguni Shabar, Ravi Shankar Gamang, Bhaskar Jagaranga, Karunakar Sabar, Nag Bhushan Mandangi, Purna Chandra Sabar  Out of 223947 total voters, 107928 are males & 115969 females & 50 Transgenders. There are 37 sensitive booths & mobile service unavailable in 21 booths
