Police busts notorious ‘Eragola gang’ in Bhubaneswar, 11 held
Bhubaneswar : A Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday apprehended eleven members of the Eragola gang, known for their involvement in a series of robberies across the state.
Police have also seized Rs 2 Lakh cash, 17 gold chains from their possession.
According to the report, all eleven persons are natives of Tippa Colony in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh and belong to the Eragola tribe. This gang has gained notoriety for their activities involving thefts and robberies nationwide, particularly targeting individuals returning from banks after withdrawing money and women wearing gold jewelry.
Additionally, they are known to forcibly break open the glass doors of cars and compartments of scooters and bikes to steal valuables left inside vehicles.
