One held in connection with Job fraud in Ganjam

Ganjam:Pattapur police arrested one person in connection with a job fraud racket. The accused identified as Prakash Chandra Behera(43), S/O-Late Laxman Behera, Vill-Astaranga, Ward No-4, PS-Astaranga, Dist-Puri.
The matter came to light That on 05.01.2024, at 05.10 PM, the complainant Sukanta Rout(43), S/O- Lt. Manika Rout of Vill-Usta-Jagannathpur, PS Pattapur, Dist Ganjam appeared at PS and presented a written report alleging there in that in the month of October 2022, he had admitted his son in coaching centre for study purpose in Bhubaneswar. At the coaching centre, complainant came in contact with accused person Prakash Chandra Behera of Astaranga, Puri. Accused person Prakash Chandra Behera lured him for a Govt job. After repeated attempt, complainant fell into the trap of accused person and gave ₹ 6,50,000/- to accused person in condition that he will gave Govt job BSSO(SSC) post.
Further investigation revealed Complainant paid the amount to the SBI account of accused person vides Account No-30757172873. Later on, complainant came to know that he had been cheated. After several attempt also, accused person did not return the amount to the complainant. So, complainant presented a written report for taking necessary legal action against the accused.
During investigation of the said case, one accused person namely Prakash Chandra Behera(43), S/O-Late Laxman Behera, Vill-Astaranga, Ward No-4, PS-Astaranga, Dist-Puri has been arrested and forwarded to the Hon’ble court.
The police have seized One bank pass book of complainant, Four No’s transaction receipt (NEFT),3- PhonePe screen shots of the possession of accused.
