Sunabeda: 01/01/24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two Amrit Bharat and six Bande Bharat trains from Ayodhya Dham station on December 30.Amrit Bharat Express, a non-AC train of Indian Railways, has second class, reserved coaches and state-of-the-art sleeper coaches. Amrit Bharat can move at a speed of 130 km per hour and uses push-pull technology with 6,000 HP WAP 5 locomotives at each end, which will ensure smooth and safe travel for general class passengers.

To greet the Malda – Bengaluru Amrit Express a special programme has been organised by the railway authorities at Vizianagaram railway station on 31/12/2023.Sheikh Ibrahim, a member of East Coast Railways Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee of Waltair Division welcomed the Amrit Bharat Express and expressed and appllouded the initiation taken by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Shri Aswini Vaishnav and Railway authority for the benefit of the general passengers of the country.

At the same time, he said that the development of railway services in the undivided Koraput district will also lead to rapid development of the tourism industry of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh ,so more and more rail connectivity should be provided in the  tribal regions of the country. MLC of Vizianagaram, P.P. Raghu Verma, BJP State Secretary Ms. Pavani, BJP District President Ishwar Rao, ADRM of Railway Waltair Division, Manoj Kumar Sahu, Chief Engineer D. Dhananjaya  graced the  occasion.Various cultural programmes were organized to welcome the train.
