Army Jawan Succumbed to Brutal assult in Ganjam-Police  Catch the Goal

Ganjam: An Indian Army jawan, J Dileshwar, hailing from Kalipalli village in Odisha’s Ganjam district, succumbed to injuries sustained during an assault on Thursday. Dileshwar, stationed in Durgapur, West Bengal, was on leave and attacked by four assailants on Sunday while returning from Gopalpur after a game. The incident occurred at Haripur street under Chamakhandi police limits under Ganjam Police district.

Despite being rushed to a Berhampur hospital first and then transferred to a Bhubaneswar private hospital due to deteriorating condition, Dileshwar succumbed to his injuries on December 7th.

Taking speedy action, the police registered  a FIR and have apprehended one suspect.

By the order of SP,Ganjam,Mr.Jagmohan Meena The search for the remaining focused to be arrest by any means.Following the direction two dedicated teams acted tirelessly to ensure the detecttion because the police have took this case as challange  for  natural justice to deceased Dileshwar family.

Finally,today police touch their goal and the registered case reference: Chamakhandi PS case no 441 dt 05.12.2023 u/s 341/323/324/307/34 IPC  turned  to  Sec 302/120(B)/34 IPC,and successfylly arrested the accused persons.

They have been identified as ; J. Kalyani Patra (19) s/o Late J. Purusottam Patra  of  vill. Kalipalli PS Chamakhandi Dist Ganjam, B. Bulu Patra (26)  s/o  B. Bairi Patra    vill,  G. Jagannathpur  Palligaon  PS Nimakhandi  Dist Ganjam,. Ch. Vicky Kumar Patra (26) s/o Ch Darshan Kumar Patra  of  vill  G. Jagannathpur  Palligaon  PS Nimakhandi  Dist Ganjam, B. Cheneya Patra (26) s/o B. Dandasi Patra   vill. Kalipalli PS Chamakhandi Dist Ganjam, and  Ch Sekhar Patra(23)S/o Buludu Patra of  village, Kalipalli under. Chamakhandi  Police station and seized  One Pulser Motor Cycle bearing  Regd no OR07V 9669, One  Hero CD Deluxe  bearing Regd no OD07 K 3630, Two number of  mobile Phone  of accused person.

According to  police ,the complainant   J Janamma  Patra (45), W/o-  J Padmalabha Patra is resident of  village  Kalipalli under Chamakhandi PS limilts. Her son J Dileswar Patra was servicing in Indian Army and posted at Pannagada, District-Durgapur, State West Bengal. Earlier, there was quarrel in between two groups of village Kalipali during immersion procession of Lord Ganesh.  Deceased J Dileswar Patra was taking  lead of a group and another group was led by accused persons namely   Sekhar Patra and B. Cheneya Patra.

After the quarrel, the villagers settled down their dispute. One mknth ago, accused J Kalyani Patra changed his whatsapp  status. On that, deceased abused to accused J Kalyani Patra in obscene languages and sent odd message to his mobile.

On 10.11.2023, there was  celebration of Goddess Nandiamma  Puja in village Kalipali where some friends of Ch Sekhar Patra and J Kayani Patra namely B Bulu Patra of Lochapada and Ram Krushna Swain @ Makhan of village Rampali were taking part. The villagers of Kalipali were displeased on Ch Sekhar Patra and J Kalyani Patra as they called to their Berhampur friends to celebrate in village Puja.

Ten days ago, deceased J Dileswar Patra had come to his house on leave. On day of occurrence, i.e. 03.12.2023, there was a cricket match between village Regedi and a team from Berhampur at Goplapur.

 Deceased J Dileswar Patra was called as guest in that match at Goplapur and accused persons namely J. Kalyani Patra (19), S/o-  Late J Purusottam Patra, Ch. Sekhar Patra, S/o- Ch Buludu Patra, B. Cheneya Patra all of their village and Ram Krushna Swain @ Makhan, S/o- Kedar Swain  of village Rampali were present at the venue during that match. After cricket match, there was hot discussion in between deceased J  Dileswar Patra and accused persons namely Ch Sekhar Patra, J Kalyani Patra and B. Cheneya Patra. Accused Ch Sekhar Patra intimated the matter to accused persons Ch. Vicky Kumar Patra and  B Bulu Patra over phone and requested them to come Gopalpur. Accordingly, accused B Bulu Patra came to Gopalpur and met with the other accused persons. Accused Vicky Patra monitored all the things . They planned to kill J Dileswar Patra  at Gopalpur. Deceased J Dileswar Patra escaped from there and came to village Raikatur. He narrated the fact before one E Deneya of village Raikatur and further called some of his friends of his village to accompany him. But accused persons namely J Kalyani Patra, Ch. Sekhar Patra, Ram Krushna Swain @ Makhan  and B Bulu Patra and others were waiting at Haripur Chhak in order to kill J Dileswar Patra at the time of his return.

In the mean time, deceased J Dileswar Patra came to Haripur Chhak finding him accused persons namely J Kalyani Patra, Ch. Sekhar Patra, Ram Krushna Swain @ Makhan and B Bulu Patra restrained him and assaulted him by pushing and pulling.  E Daneya and other intervened and tried to  separate them. But accused B Bulu Patra assaulted to deceased on his right ear by means of fist blow as a result deceased fell down on the road.  Another accused Ram Krushna Swain @ Makhan  assaulted to deceased by kick on his face while he fell down on the ground. Deceased became unconscious at the spot and  blood came from his nose and ear. E Daneya intimated to the complainant by phone and shifted the deceased to MKCG, MCH, Berhampur for treatment. Further, as per the instruction of treating Doctor, complainant and her relatives shifted the deceased to Spars Hospital, Bhubaneswar where he got  head operation. Further, he was shifted to deceased to Sum Hospital,  Bhubaneswar. On 06.12.2023, J Dileswar Patra succumbed to injuries while he was undergoing treatment at the hospital. Aforementioned involved persons have been apprehended in the case and will be forwarded on 08.12.23.
