Paralakhemundi: Today at Zilla Parishad Conference Hall World Soil Day observed.
District Collector of GajapatiAs chief guest Collector Gajapati Smrutiranjan Pradhan graced as Chief guest,where Suresh Kumar Patnaik Project Director of Watershed,SDVO,District Fisheries Officer ,Scientist of KBK Rudayagiri were present as guests of honor.
Related topic on soil & water as key resources shared by the guests.Details on protection of soil, need of health card of soil, utilization of soil, soil testing analyzed.With this process farmers can procure more crops.
More plantations of trees & avoid uses of polythenes advised.On this occasion debate competitions held & winners among students got prizes, where 8 farmers were given soil health cards.
Among others Addl. District Agriculture Officer , Deputy Agriculture Officer with all block level officers & farmers attended. Program facilitated by Deputy Agriculture Officer Ms. Subhashree Priyadarshini & staff coordinated.
